Made my sister a recipe book for christmas
I have finally finished making the book minions and all I have to do now is give them out. So for the sake of this one I am going to cross it off the list as a done. If felt really good making something with my own hands to give to my loved ones and precious peoples.
So far they have all loved them. I like seeing their faces light up when I give them a little gift like that. I think this is something that I am going to keep up with.

I have a list of like five people that I plan on giving homemade gifts to before my homemade Christmas. I am working on them now. :D I don't personally find it cheating but I had put down on this list a craft I wanted to do and once it was done i decided it would make the perfect gift! I smoked a trout and made some pate. This I gave to Shelley yesterday evening. Some where there is a photo of the handover for the record.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients
For the trout pate
• 1 Trout, approx. 2lb in weight
• 450g soft cheese spread
• Finely chopped parsley
• The juice of half a fresh lemon
• Crusty bread
Method: How to make smoked trout patewith crusty bread
1. Smoke trout in a smoker with Oak Dust for approx 35 minutes. When done, fillet the trout and flake it using a fork. Fold the flakes into the Philadelphia, adding a handful of fine chopped parsley, the lemon juice, and some fresh ground pepper. Fold together until nice even texture. Place into mould and refrigerate for 2 hours.
2. Serve with crusty bread.
