It's weird that homeless tend to hang out in front of 99 cents store and ask for hand-outs. I guess I find it weird because I wouldn't think people who shop at 99 cent stores are rich enough to give out hand-outs (I know I'm judging, hey, they could just be rich and thirfty!) But on the other hand, I suppose the psychology could be that people wouldn't mind giving away hand-out from 99 cents store because it's not that expensive. But yes, that's where I found my homeless person (it would be the 2nd homeless person that I bought a meal for).
He asked for money, of course, but I told him, "How about I buy you a meal instead?" He said, OK, and stated that he wanted some Carl's Jr. and started telling me the burger that he wanted (My thought was, Wow, what a demanding homeless person). I told him that I parked close to a Viet food-to-go place, so I'll just get him food from there. He was a very choosy person. Apparently he comes there often because the lady at the food to go place knows him. She asked me what I want. I told her to take his order she replied that he only wants free food so she won't serve him. I said that I would pay for his food, so she got a portion for him. Thanks to this incident, the lady now remembers me whenever I come by.
