1 How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
-If I only had looks to go on I´d guess about my age. If I should look at things I like I´d say either 8 or 100...

2 Which is worse, failing or never trying?
-Never trying is worse. Better to try because at least you tried and will never live with the ´what if´´. If you try and fail you will know what doesn´t work and yout can try again and perhaps succeed next time.

3 If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?
-Part of it is society (what is expected), part is you (not beliving enough in yourself), part is money, part is out of our control (illness, mental illness etc).

4 When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
-I hope not. I have forfilled most of my most important goals

5 What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
-Communication skills

6 If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
-Making people laugh

7 Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
-I am settling due to certain things I had no control over happening. But now I´m here and I am going to change it around. I cannot control everything. I can only learn to accept it and focus on the things I can control

8 If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
-I do not believe it would be different because life is short and we could all die way before 40

9 To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?
-Way to little but I really tried. I need to change my plan and stop chasing a plan that is no longer possible due to my age (like having more children and such)

10 Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
-I try to do both at the same time

11 You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?
-I will change the subject or just tell them to stop

12 If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?
-Be happy
(do what makes you happy but be realistic, not having money will make you unhappy because you will get stressed if you cannot pay bills and buy food, You spend a very lot of time working so make sure you like your job, Eat but do not be so overweight you cannot do things that makes you happy, Take care of your health so you can do what makes you happy and a bad health is expensive in medicin, Take chances but do not be stupid...So remember happiness is not just in the moment - you need to be sure you think ahead - will you remain happy if you make a certain choice?)

13 Would you break the law to save a loved one?
-Depends on what it is

14 Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity?
-Yes

15 What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
-Way too much but it´s ok

16 How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy?
-We are just different. I guess we needed to be different when we started out or we´d all go hunting and nobody would watch the children og cook the meal or learn about plants to cure illness. Someone needed to learn about summer and winter in order to not waste time finding food and shelter. Somebody found out how to make clothes, some started inventning things in order for humans to move from caves into 2018.....

17 What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?
-Write a book. I really have no excuse for not writing

18 Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?
-Anger, the past (what has been said and done to me)

19 If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?
-South Korea because I was born there and I´d love to live there for some time learning the language and culture. Or an english speaking country because I already know the language...

20 Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
-I do not do that and it´s annoying when people do that

21 Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?
-I´m a worried genius but sometimes I think life would be easier being a joyful simpleton

22 Why are you, you?
-My genes and experience...

23 Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend?
-Yes

24 Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you?
-Losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you

25 What are you most grateful for?
-Freedom:
Living in this time period in this part of the world where a baby girl is equal and just as wished for as a baby boy. Where everyone goes to school and has equal chances of getting an education. Where we have washing machines and can spend free time not washing clothes in a bucket or in the lake. Where we have internet with all the information in the world 24/7. Being able to be sick and society helps you.

26 Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?
--Never be able to make new ones. Way too many live in the past and never create new memories and then what is the point in living on

27 Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first?
-Yes...Or should we challenge the fact that the sun gives us daytime light

28 Has your greatest fear ever come true?
-No. I have never lost a child to death or become blind so I can no longer see my children

29 Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now?
-Yes, I remember but no, it does not matter now. I need to learn to let go of the bad in my past

30 What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?
-This man who cleaned up at school after lunch. My friend and I helped a few times. He was so nice and gave us cookies his wife had made for him. He was aways smiling and nice. He was the first adult I had ever met who was like that. We moved away and he will never know

31 At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
-Meeting my boyfriend. We are very different but also very alike. Meeting him has reminded me of who I used to be before I changed into a person I don´t like being. I am now trying to reconnect with the me I like. I will continue doing so no matter what happens between him and I.

32 If not now, then when?
-Yes, times will go by anyway. The best time to begin is now

33 If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?
-I´m worried. If I succeed will I be strong enouh to not let my mother influence me. She controlled my entire life. So I did nothing just to get my life. She still tries. If I succeed just once she will pressure me so much again. So I have much to lose

34 Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever?
-No

35 Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?
-Everyone wants to be right

36 Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?
-No. Good and evil are man made words. A lion kill a small child in order to feeds its young ones. They see it as good. We people see it as evil.

37 If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job?
-I don´t work due to illness

38 Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?

-My children

42 Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous?
-No

-Alive is what we all are. Living is doing what you love doing and what makes you happy

44 When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?
-For me I just suddenly decide it´s time

45 If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?
-We do not always learn from our mistakes

46 What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
-Write my book and get it out into the world

47 When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?
-Often

48 What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?
-I love travelling, learning, being creative

49 In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that?
-I will remember yesterday because it was a special day and I was alone and sad. I will remember today because I´m taking my daughter to dinner. It´s the first time she and I are going out to eat without her brother

50 Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?
-Both, but I´m trying to learn to make them for myself

1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
// I'm not sure.. I don't feel my age. Still like in my early 20s or something. Or like I just got out of school, still trying to learn how to get by. But then I also feel super old, like just exhausted and stressed and worn out just all the time. Like I'm ready for retirement already. There are extremes on both sides. It's not so fun.

#1-5...

Question 1: How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

This is an interesting question for me because I feel like I'm very bad at relating to my peers.
- I had my daughter when I was 19, so I grew up pretty quickly in terms of financial and family responsibilities. A lot of my peers lived at home for years after I moved out, and were partying while I changed diapers and got bottles ready.
- I went to college/university as a mature student, at 24. Therefore, I had a lot of life experiences that my classmates had not. Additionally, I had a baby/toddler at their age, and I have a lot on my plate that is different from what is going on in most of their lives.

- I'm significantly younger than all of my daughter's friends' parents, I'm not married, and I feel like I don't fit in really on the playground. Doesn't help that my daughter's 2 best friends are the youngest in their families, with siblings that are in high school!

So I feel like I'd make myself 5 years older? 33/34?

Question 2: Which is worse, failing or never trying?

Never trying is definitely worse. I feel like we learn a lot through failure... more than we do from constantly succeeding at everything. I wish there was more room for failure in the world of higher education.

Question 3: If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?

I think we do them out of a matter of necessity. For some it's to finance the things we DO enjoy, or because those things are part of the process of getting to where we want to be. Those are the main reasons for me, anyway. I think that it makes me appreciate the things I like/love even more, though. I also think that we humans always feel like we have more time...

Question 4: When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

Yeah, I think I'm pretty yappy. I know that I spend a lot of time engaging in idle gossip and things like that... I know it's something I need to work on.

Question 5: What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?

I'd like for people to understand science so that they can trust the good science and ignore some of the misinformation online.

These questions are an interesting mental checkup on yourself - which when answered honestly reflected different priorities than I was living. I haven't sold everything and moved to the woods (yet), but it was a good glimpse into what is and what could be. Some answers weren't a full sentence, others were a full page. Worth trying out!

Sample of some questions that I've answered:

What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?

The fact that there truly IS enough money in this world to actually end world hunger and poverty but the most wealthy and in power do not do anything about it. I read somewhere that it could take about $150 or $160 per person in poverty in the world to end world hunger in maybe 12-15 years. So is this not being done if it is so easy to do in order to help people???!!!

Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?

I am doing what I believe in. I am tired of settling for less. But......I am learning that in some circumstances one has to at least settle for less... at least for awhile.....until you figure out a different game plan in order to ensure that you can do what you truly believe in. I do not wish to settle for less than I deserve any longer.

Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?

It would be soooooo nice and easy to just be a joyful simpleton. No worries, always happiness, stress free. But I’d rather be a worried genius and have not only intelligence, but have something worth worrying about and use my intelligence to solve issues for the greater good of humanity or math or science.......or something that is far more grand and bigger than I am.

What are you most grateful for?

I am thankful to Allah that, despite the many tears and obstacles that I feel I may never overcome, I must be grateful to every thing that Allah provides to me.....the good and bad. For without the bad how can I truly appreciate the good? Without the bad, how would I develop a better character and develop patience. I believe that everything is meant to be and every person you meet will either benefit me in some way or my presence will benefit them in some way.
