We rescued our dog Polo from death row at the pound. He is a senior husky, not that you would know because he never acts his age! It took time and support for Polo to settle but now he's thriving. When you give a rescue animal another chance at life they reward you with lots of love! Adopt don't shop.
I rescued a feral kitten who was abandoned by its mother! His name is Daemon and he is now a year old ❤️❤️❤️😘
I was thinking of cheating and making this about adopting Deefa but really we adopted him before I started the 1000 days. Then not long after I started Ayvah and I found Polly who needed rescuing. Now he is part of our family!
Bruce Wayne kitty is the best!
This is Ember. She is about a year old. She's a mighty huntress and has been awesome about getting rid of the mice. Her story is she got kicked out of her home and was left to fend for herself. She started coming around our apartment late spring. She wouldn't really let us pet her until we started feeding her. My neighbor started leaving out food for her and then someone donated a blanket. She and Oscar didn't like each other; they would both be at the window hissing at each other. Then she started coming in the apartment building and sleeping in the hallway. About a month after Oscar died, Jesse opened the door and she walked in like she'd always been there. She still doesn't quite like cuddling (she may never like it) but she's been an interesting addition to the family.
This is Oscar. He was found under a car by our neighbor's daughter when he was a few weeks old. He's about 7 weeks now. He's been a great addition to our family and I'm happy we could add him to our little family.
Our other adopted baby
One of the fat cats we adopted a couple months ago. So spoiled. :)
