6. La Parada on Bree with dad. Nice tapas, but should have stuck to that. The mains were either bland or strange. Lovely tapas spot if you don't mind being squished up with other people at a table.

13. Lefty's for birthday dinner and drinks with many wonderful friends - great vibes and cheap, but seriously tasty food. Loved the pulled pork sandwich, but going to have to go back for chicken and waffles.
14. La Mouette with Gerhard - Six course autumn tasting menu, or six course AWESOME tasting menu.
15. San Julian Tacos and Tequila with Bianca, Simone, Wendyl and Bjorn - good tacos, but small portions. GREAT tequila!

19. Beijing Opera - finally tried their dim sum. Always been tricky as they only open during the day. Yummy and nice lunch spot, but more expensive than South China and not as good.
On a side note we also had a brief dim sum sesh at I love my Laundry...also SC all the way, but great place!
20. Borage - Thursday night supper club with Bianca, Toff, Gerhard, Dom and Irma. Three course meal for R160 and you can bring your own wine...AMAZING. Will definitely go again. Different every time and you have to book!
