Despite that, it took me nearly a year to get around to doing the video. This was primarily because setting up the cameras and reading scripts took a lot of effort and time, and could only be filmed during the day (we didn't have a great lighting situation). This was mostly procrastination on my part - though I was very eager to Kickstart the adventure, I was less than eager to film the video. I didn't have stage fright, I just wasn't looking forward to what was going to be annoying, fiddly and dull work.

It took about a month from shooting the footage to finishing the editing, and another week to compose an original song to play as backing music, but once I was done I felt a massive hurdle had been lifted from my shoulders. Once the bottleneck was gone, I initiated the Kickstarter campaign almost immediately after.
As it turned out, the video was five minutes long and could easily have been half that, saving me a lot of effort. Well, I know for next time!
