I've averaged three times a week this year plus additional exercises at home. At the gym I've done about 10 mins on exercise bike plus the leg curl and leg press, and the additional exercises involve lifting my straightened leg while lying down, the same but with the leg on the side, and doing bridges.
This is definitely not what I had in mind when I started i.e. staying fit and active. My running made me fitter and more active than ever, but the resulting injury (a torn cartilage) has left my fitness worse off. It's been nearly a year since the pain started, and six months since I got the proper diagnosis and started seeing a much better physio. In this time it has gotten much better i.e. I'm back to being able to extend my leg, walk, not look swollen, generally live without pain etc - but it's not what it was before. And I may not ever get back to feeling really fit and active. I don't know.
