3. Scarborough

Sadly we didn't have a lot of time to spend at Scarborough, we only went to the castle. But we're planning on coming back in the future to see what the town has to offer.

2. Abermaw (Barmouth)

This town doesn't have an awful lot going for it, it's just a small town with a huge sandy beach. The reason I visited this one in particular was because my Nan lives here. I haven't seen her since 2019 and we visited for her 84th birthday. We decided to stay at a campsite rather than stay with my brother this time since it's the summer and we wanted to make the visit feel more like a holiday.

It was lovely to walk along the promenade in the evenings, the sunsets were breathtaking. (less)

1. Bridlington

This is a statue of The Gansey Girl. Fishermen would have ganseys knitted for them to keep them warm from the elements while out at sea, and the patterns were unique to the families that knitted them.

We drove up one dry sunny morning without a plan, and spent the day wandering around th town. We walked along the sea front, and had ice cream for breakfast! We found a tiny museum dedicated to the town's fishing industry and ended up going on a "pirate ship" which was a fifteen minute ride out to sea and back again! For lunch we had fish and chips (how could we not) and spent two or three quid in the arcades on the 2p machines. I won nothing 😂 it was nice to just wander around and we went into a few shops and I found a statue of a girl knitting at the harbour. It was a good day ☺️ (less) (less)
