Learn about my local birds
I've done this twice over! I learned a lot about my backyard birds in California, and started using the Merlin app. Now that we're in Virginia, I've used it to learn my local birds here, too. I'll always have more to learn, but I've really appreciated my work on this goal!
I have been learning about some of the main birds that hang out in the park where I run. I learned, for example, that I was misidentifying egrets as a different sort of bird altogether. (And egrets are in the park, too!) Looking forward to learning more.
