ABOUT NEW JERSEY
New Jersey is on the east coast of the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States of America. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and by the states of Delaware to the south west, Pennsylvania to the west, and New York to the north and north east. Parts of the state are suburbs of New York City, just across the Hudson River to the the north east, and Philadelphia, just across the Delaware River on the south west. Although the most densely populated state in the nation, New Jersey is well known for its beautiful beaches and other natural attractions, including the migratory birds of Cape May, the Pine Barrens, blueberry farms and cranberry bogs, the Delaware Water Gap, a 72-mile leg of the Appalachian Trail and its interurban analogue, the East Coast Greenway and the Palisades.

Atlantic City is a city in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States, famous for its boardwalk, casino gambling, sandy beaches, and view of the Atlantic Ocean. The city has also served as the inspiration for the board game Monopoly. Atlantic City is a resort community located on Absecon Island on the Atlantic coast of North America. As of 2008, the city has a population of 35,770, with 266,268 people living in the Atlantic City–Hammonton metropolitan statistical area.
High Point, located in the northwestern part of New Jersey in Montague, Sussex County in the Skylands Region of New Jersey, is the highest elevation in the state at 1,803 feet (550 m). It is just southeast of Port Jervis, New York. High Point is the highest peak of the Kittatinny Mountains. At the peak is the High Point Monument, a 220-foot (67 m) tower, built in 1930 to commemorate the war dead. Three different states can be seen from the top: New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Six Flags Great Adventure is a theme park in Jackson Township, New Jersey, located in Central New Jersey. Owned by the Six Flags brand of theme parks, the park also contains the Six Flags Wild Safari animal park and Hurricane Harbor water park. The park is popular among New Yorkers and Philadelphians due to its location, and is popular among roller coaster enthusiasts due to its selection of roller coasters.
The Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial is located at 62 Battleship Place, Camden, New Jersey, United States. This museum ship preserves and displays the USS New Jersey (BB-62), the most decorated battleship to have served in the U.S. Navy and one of the largest ever built.
Asbury Park is a city in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States, on the Jersey Shore and part of the New York City Metropolitan Area. As of the 2000 United States Census, the city population was 16,930. Asbury Park was originally incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 26, 1874, from portions of Ocean Township. The borough was reincorporated on February 28, 1893. Asbury Park was incorporated as a city, its current type of government, as of March 25, 1897.
The Navesink Twin Lights is a non-operational lighthouse and museum located in Highlands, New Jersey overlooking Sandy Hook Bay, the entrance to the New York Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. The Twin Lights, as the name implies, are a pair of beacons located 246 feet (75 m) above sea level on the Navesink Highlands. In 1962, the State of New Jersey acquired Twin Lights.
