PROGRESS UPDATE

I skipped listening to this list yesterday and on May 11, so I'm listening to it three times in a row right now.
Also today I'm going to archive this Habit on Habitiy and put together a new one for the internship which I applied to yesterday. YAY!
Actually, I'm not going to archive it. I'm going to reduce it from every day to once a month and create a new one for the internship to look at every day.
As of today 5/18/24, I've gone over this list 87 times.

Dear God I am asking you to make these things a reality in my life.
1. I want my job to be easy even tho it is hard work. I want it to be easily doable hard work.
2. I want to be able to easily complete all tasks in the time allocated.
3. I want to plan all days off in advance so I have perfect attendance.
4. I want to make money
5. I want to learn things every single day that I can use the very next day on the job and increase skill level.
6: I want to wear scrubs every day.
7. I want a flexible schedule/be able to take off a month if I want/need to.
8. I want to be able to keep my administrative skills *sharp* while I work this job (I can do this via another job and/or community involvement and/or my writing)
9. I want to enjoy the passage of time. Right now as I type this, it's the end of February. YAY!
10. I want stability and predictability.
11. I want to enjoy my time off immensely.
12. I want to enjoy the free meals, concerts and activities
13. I want a pleasant and peaceful commute.
14. I want to enjoy the fact that there are alot of available hours to work and alot of job openings in this field, and a low bar to entry--which is what I always wanted in a job.
15. I want all of the above--the skills/confidence etc, then what the other CPs say about me will not matter so much.
16. I want this job to be a metaphor for the k-12 experience, the last time I felt truly successful.
17. I want this job to take away the pressure to write/publish more than I can or want to in a given year.
18. I want to work with different people, so the turnover there is good for me as long as *I* stay.
19. I want this job to be an example of God's healing powers in my life. I have experienced physical discomfort 3 times and healed all three times while not taking off. I want to pray for continued physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health. Note: I also experienced God's healing power with emotional/mental discomfort after working 3/3/24.
20. I want this job to offer me the financial freedom to buy/treat myself to small things like fun AI writing programs, expensive aluminum free body deodorants, hair care products that help grow long 4c hair, and later on local trips.
21. I want this job to be an opportunity to leave the job on the job unlike with some administrative jobs with ongoing projects that cause me to worry about completion when I am at home.
22. I want this job to be an opportunity to learn how to instead of writing long letters as I did with NY and CS, to solve a problem by asking one simple question as I did yesterday, 3/4/24.
23. I want this job to give me the freedom to spend time taking care of and growing my long 4c hair.
24) I want to make sure I am prepared for each shift. Clean, rested, hair in a bun and *prayed up*
25) I want to feel a sense of relief when the work is done for the day--either at the end of the shift or when everyone is in bed.
26) I want to not have to worry about getting references, which I don't have to worry about as long as I have this job.
27) I want to have a clear vision and pray over the potential next steps. For the job I have now as of 3/21/24, the next step "up" would be med tech.
28) I want to be able to practice patience as I stay in my current role for now as of 3/21/24 while I use every challenge I face to serve as instructions for when I reach the next level.
29) I want to maintain the serenity I was unable to maintain in my youth when I would leave jobs after 10 months.
30)I want to be as confident and fearless at work as I am in the classroom. While I can be confident, I know I will not be perfect. I was a good, enthusiastic student, but not a perfect one.
31. I want my musculoskeletal system to stay in pristine good health.
32. I want to know beyond the shadow of a doubt that I bring valuable skills and insights to my work every day, regardless of how "new" or "inexperienced" I may feel.
33. I want the testing to conclude so that I am standing on a solid foundation (1 Peter 5:10) lacking nothing (James 1:2-4)
In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.
