I had forgotten this goal, to be honest. It just happened so it must have been on my mind for a while. A friend makes his own soap. He did all the proper calculations to determine how much lye would be needed. Then he had me measure out the lye. He mixed it into the water while I poured coconut oil into a plastic 5-gallon bucket. Then the solution was poured in. He handed me an immersion blender to mix it together.
