Tuesday, September 20 2011 - skipped one morning class due to legitimately feeling very sick.

Friday September 16, 2011, missed an afternoon class to see Sara after her wisdom teeth appointment. also told the teacher ahead of class so I wouldn't be docked any marks.

this will only count skipping classes due to better things to do, or extreme laziness.

many, many late nights with the best friend Shane. why not go on an adventure to Wal-Mart at 3am? especially around Christmas-time... good times.

March 15, 2011, went to go see the Calendar Girls production at MTC with the boyfriend at the time. it was hilarious!

May 2011, I re-discovered the wonderfulness that is oatmeal in the mornings.

November 2, 2010. made an awesome homemade pizza with the boyfriend, it turned out great. next time, whole wheat vegetarian for sure! and homemade sauce!

Wal-Mart has the greatest scented candles ever, seriously. mmm, fruity.

since then - steady decline in performance of the phone. lately, the space bar is starting to go, so Mostofmy. Messages. Looklike this. and I look like I am grammatically retarded. joy.

February 28, 2010. decided it was time to say goodbye to my little silver Samsung slider phone. went to Rogers, came home with a shiny new Blackberry Curve 8900. beauty.

September 2011, still have yet to buy another frame for my awesome Beatles picture. in time...

sometime in August 2010, when I wasn't home. frame falls of wall, cracks. DAMN IT. back to square one.

January 2010, went to Wal-Mart and bought a frame for it with Shane. it took us over an hour to make it fit properly in the frame. hung it, it looked great.

December 2009, received awesome Beatles Abbey Road canvas print from Shane, for Christmas.

FINALLY completed watching season 10 of Friends on July 19, 2011. sometimes I went months in between watching episodes, sometimes I watched an entire season in a day. ha. good show.

purchased season one sometime in late 2009. this is going to be a long one.

October 2010, went to a lovely Italian restaurant called Bellissimo with my dearest friend Sara. we ordered expensive meals and expensive girly drinks, it was awesome.

Late-September 2011, still going. I don't miss meat.

July 7, 2011 - decided to go vegetarian.

Europe 2011 - didn't eat much meat, the opportunity to do so just never really arose.

cooked many lovely meals for my close friends and family. fish and pasta seem to be my thing.

St Patrick's Day 2010, bought a sweet green plaid shirt for the occasion.

June 2011 - got to meet her in person, in London! what an amazing experience.

re-connected with my dear friend Ali sometime in mid-2009. been friends since 2003, and now we talk all the time again

since then - I have purchased several dresses, most of which are floral. unfortunately, the original floral dress is FAR too big for me, even though I still adore it. I wish I could make it smaller.

August 2010, bought a very cute floral dress for my birthday.

June 2011, bought a shot glass from Nice, and one from Paris.

Summer 2010, Sara bought me a shot glass from the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin on her family trip.

Christmas 2009, Shane bought me a set of really cool multi-coloured shot glasses.

before this list... owned 4 plain, 2-oz shot glasses.

500 awesome things is a lot.

May 2011, met a bunch of Mexicans at a pub who invited us to some sketchy little karaoke bar upstairs that we'd never heard of. turned out to be a pretty solid night.

Europe 2011. took about a million trains all over the place. what a fun experience!

Europe 2011. the only castle that we actually went inside was the Château d'If, just off the cost of Marseille. what a cool place!!! saw tons of them in all of the countries we visited, though.

these have been used many, many, many times since.

Boxing day sale sometime in early January 2010, bought a martini shaker from Stokes for about $10. love it.

Christmas 2009, received a set of Mikasa martini glasses from Sara, and another set of plain ones from Shane, along with a set of amazing white wine glasses.

received for my birthday in August 2011. I love it, now I can make Slim Fast smoothies without any powder-y chunks. win!

April 20, 2010. had my final for my Myth, Magic and Shamanism course that morning, it sucked. I immediately went to Giselle's Spa afterwards, and used the gift certificate Shane had bought for me for a 90-minute deep tissue massage. somewhat painful, but oh-so good. the next day, my muscles were so sore that I could barely walk. that went on for over a week. lesson learned: don't get a deep tissues massage next time.

September 2011, applied for a PC Mastercard. lower interest rate and earn points towards free groceries. as a starving student, this will come in handy. but before I use this card, I am going to pay off the $350 or so I owe on my other Mastercard.

August 2010, applied for a Scene Scotia VISA. can't say no to free movies!! yay for Scene points.

December 2009, got my first credit card from my bank, just in time for Christmas. oh no.

June 2010, it just happened one day. I probably stayed out very late the night before, as I tend to do sometimes...

I have seen most of them since graduating in 2008, I TRY to speak French with them. it doesn't work out most of the time, even though I am majoring in French in university. ha ha. but they are all proud of me for continuing in French!

September 2011, I have yet to hang said shelf.

June 2010, went to Jysk to look for new bedsheets. ended up finding a slim, dark wood shelf instead, I knew it would be perfect for my elephants. as long as they all fit on there.

September 17, 2010. my HP had finally bitten the dust with a fried hard drive. I was pissed off because I had a ton of homework to do so I drove myself to the Apple Store, and bought myself a shiny new Macbook Pro. only cost me about $1500, after the $100 student discount and the full Apple Care plan.

August 2011, had another bikini wax as a present to myself for my birthday. I could get used to this. I want another one.

May 31, 2011. leaving for Europe the next morning, Sara and I figured we'd get bikini waxes so we didn't have to worry about it on our trip. a bit of a nerve-wracking experience, but luckily it went quickly and smoothy, and it didn't hurt much. I've done much more painful things to myself with hot wax...

since then - the book is getting pretty full, especially the desserts section! I have a stack of about 100 recipes that I would like to include in the book, that's going to take a long time......

May 2011, purchased a Moleskine recipe book from Chapters. started filling it out with a few random recipes I found online.

February 2011, made a pretty lame "love songs" mix CD for my boyfriend at the time. what can I say, it seemed like a good idea at the time. all I can do is laugh now!

since then - my ball doesn't get much use, because I have discovered that it is too small for a lot of things, including sitting at the dining room table (where I do my homework). looking into buying a bigger one, because sitting on a ball while working is good for your posture, and a lot of fun. although, the smaller ball is excellent for cracking my back!

sometime in April 2010, at about 10pm, I decided I wanted to buy a pilates ball. went to Wal-Mart, bought one for about $15. it is purple and I love it.

since then - been to several classes at Moksha yoga. their classes are more expensive at $17, and most of them are only 60 minutes, but I enjoy the instructors a lot more, they make it fun!

April 28, 2010. convinced Sara to try a Bikram hot yoga class with me, it was only $10. why not? well. what an interesting experience. I thought Sara might die, but I somehow survived and actually enjoyed myself in a 40C room for 90 minutes? I felt great afterwards (minus the headache). I quote from Sara, "NEVER AGAIN."

since then - played pool a fair amount. I'm still pretty terrible, but I win once in a while. it usually works to my advantage when I stay sober and everyone else doesn't.

December 18, 2009. Crosstown Christmas party at Triple B's, so much fun. played my first full game of pool against people that actually know how to play the game and lost horribly. as the evening went on and everyone got drunker, my skills improved by a fraction and I somehow managed to win a game, on a team with Sara (who is as terrible as I am).

September 2011, plants are still alive. I am terrible at watering them, but they get by. no more flowers left, I guess they don't like me. at least the leaves are still green and they aren't completely dead. maybe they'll flower again some day.

August 2011, went to the Home Depot and purchased two small house plants, an African Violet and a Jasmine plant. both had flowers, purple and white respectively.

Christmas 2009: got HP 6 as a gift from my lovely mother.

November 2009: found the first five HP movies for $5 each at Wal-Mart. win.

before this list: owned HP 1, 2 and 3 on VHS. I'm awesome.

Mid-September 2011, this has yet to be hung as well.

Late-August 2011, stumbled upon an awesome black and white photo of a giant tree at Wal-Mart for $9, score. I couldn't say no.

Mid-September 2011, they have yet to be hung on the wall. I'll get there eventually.

Mid-August 2011, printed out a few more pictures and completed the second photo collage.

Early-August 2011, assembled one photo collage. turned out great!

mid-July 2011, went to the Wal-Mart Photo Centre and printed out my pictures and bought two large frames.

early July 2011, picked out 50 or so of my favourites and put them on a USB flash drive.

June 2011. took about 800 photos in Europe. there are some seriously awesome pictures in there.

July 25 2011, made an awesome white wine sangria and shared with my coworker Sari. we sat out on the patio, enjoy the sunshine and sangria, and gossiped. perfect summer Monday afternoon.

received as a gift from Megan for Christmas 2009. it's so fun!!

August 29, 2011. Scheduled to donate blood at noon. okay okay, I chickened out. I will hopefully build up some courage and try again...

August 26, 2011. got my blood type tested at the U of M, just out of curiosity. They took four DROPS, turns out I am O+. Minutes later, I began to feel dizzy and see spots.

Mid-August 2011. Neighbour Erin asks me to sign up to donate blood, to sponsor her for a scholarship she is applying for. Sure, why not. I am mildly terrified, because I HATE needles.

July 2011 - began writing quotes down in a book. I would also really like to make a blog for them, so I can share them.

December 2009, somewhere around Christmas. went to Michael's and bought a gingerbread house kit and one Christmas present, somehow I was not charged for the kit when the cashier rang me through! Shane, Alanna and I built and decorated our FREE gingerbread house together one quiet winter's evening, so much fun!

with the best friend, Sara. forgot to mention that. we are bakers extraordinaire.

February 13, 2011. baked heart shaped sugar cookies and decorated them with red and pink icing for Valentine's Day, shared with the boyfriend and the lab (they looove our baking!). smiles all around.

that tea has been discontinued oh noo.
