PROGRESS UPDATE
Again I wish I knew someone who knew how to do this, didn't hate it, and wouldn't charge me everything I have and everything I could borrow for the privilege.

I honestly just don't have the time for this. I know people like to be sort of quasi-helpfully snarky and say "well if you don't have time to promote your business, how would you find time to do the additional business?" Nevertheless it is a question of scale. In the time it takes me to kind of sort of begin to adjust a single page on my site I could easily massage 4 people, make $400-600 depending, do it all the right way, and not be the least bit stressed. Trying to adjust one page takes the equivalent of a work day, stretched out over many days, and every session makes me want to throw up. I don't understand how people do this for a living...but I sure wish I could afford to hire one of them! (less) (less)

I'm pretty much rebuilding the whole thing. I don't get the whole minimalist thing. "Oh people are soo overwhelmed you have to give them SPACE...oh people are soooo anxious you have to give them a sense of who you are so they know what to expect..." I get anxiety and overwhelm, I'm there on the daily, but if you're so wacked out you can't process information and you need the thing on your screen to give you space to think, I feel like that's a good time to stop surfing the web and fucking go to bed. Drives me crazy...oh yeah, build a website with all these different features, but make it look like there's nothing there. Reminds me of when I was asked to give a 20 minute speech and after 10 minutes they were basically telling me to shut up. Do you want to know what I have to say or do you not? Make up your damn mind.
