Travel in a personally operated lift in the Nicholas Building

A goal of Pan Reas on their Original 101 Things in 1001 Days list with a status of Done.

Went to this building today to visit a pop-up table tennis club and it was fantastic, but alas the lift operators weren't there at the time. I'll have to come back.

Went back to the table tennis club and this time one of the operators, Dimitri, took us up - and later back down. It was lovely - the concept is so old-fashioned but the novelty lift decorations and his eccentric outfit were so modern.
