Learn to steer a Dragonboat

A goal of Steph P on their 101 Things in 1001 Days list with a status of Done.

My first steering night (Jun 5) was awesome. My second evening - June 17th- was TERRIBLE. We didn't get to practice any long runs as I couldn't keep the boat straight enough . Gah! Sounds like I'm going to be the caller instead. Oh well.

This actually became "be the Drummer on a Dragonboat" because my failure to learn to steer in a fully weighted boat meant I wasn't ready for Race Day. Hence, I used my motivational skills and awesome drumming rhthyms to beat "hits" for our 2014 team, Holy Ship. We did three races (because another team hit us in the first 100 m) and finished with the best time of 2:36. (less) (less)
