Have discussed solutions with a guy who is willing to take on the job. Checked prices on materials, and have been told I can borrow scaffolding for free via a friend. It will not likely be done until next summer, though.
On a more positive note, I only have to actually change the panelling on ONE side of the house. A thorough cleaning and a few coats of paint will do on the other 3 sides. This is good news! Plus 2 sides can be done with ladders only. Scaffolding required on the north and south walls. (less) (less)
