Jalapenos! And/or Bell Peppers. I don't know why I didn't think of these before. They are pretty straightforward to grow and eat AND if you use them you have to cut them open first and I'm pretty paranoid about there being bugs inside homegrown veggies. Stupid, I know, but I need to start somewhere safe to get over my odd fear.
