It's hard to say "when" a person learns how to play an instrument. The first chord? The first song? Are the criteria different for a first-timer versus an experienced instrumentalist? For me, I can say that I know over 10 chords and have written and recorded (roughly, mind) two songs. I think it's fair to say that I could follow along with most songs I was presented, and, I can make my way reasonably through REMs "Losing my Religion" - which is trickier than it sounds.



So, another one off the list. Here's to many a mando moment in the future. After all, with such a portable instrument, there's no reason why I can't take it along with me! (less)

I can play enough chords to play many songs... and remember them in between times... and tune it! I mean, tuning it takes skill! So I'm saying I can play it.
