We used a seasoned rub made with crickets. It was actually pretty good.
Indian party was craaaazy
Tried 'preserved egg' in Taiwan, often called Horse Urine egg in Thailand... won't be eating one again!
I tried a ton of new and weird things! Lamb & mint chewy energy "Epic" bar and teriyaki-flavored vegan beef jerky... yuck.

Morel mushrooms--not particularly frightening in and of themselves, but frighteningly expensive. Got $1 worth (three tiny ones) and fried them up in butter--they were delicious.
On 3/15 I tried smoked mussels in cottonseed oil. Which was delicious!
