Watch 10 movies from 1999

And ended this with another not so great movie: Election.
There were actually many good movies that came out in 1999, and if quality had been my goal, I should definitely have gone for Green Mile, Fight Club, Eyes Wide Shut or Magnolia. But my brain hasn't been able to cope with much serio (...more)

Superstar. Bah, cringe.

The Bone Collector, with Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie, was a trip down memory lane, in terms of single use cardboard cameras and whether or not people have used the internet before.

10 things I hate about you was slightly more cringy than I remembered, but some of the scenes were still sweet.

The Talented Mr. Ripley was not as enjoyable as I expected. In my head it was meant to be similar to Catch me if you can - fast paced and funny. But no, this one was almost depressing.

Wild Wild West. My kids stayed for the entire movie this time. Possibly because it was Mother's day and they hadn't done anything else for me all day, but I think they liked it.

I never saw Being John Malkovich back in the day. It was possibly even weirder than I expected.

A Blast from the Past was as enjoyable as the first time I watched it (which may very well have been in 1999).

Yesterday I picked Galaxy Quest, as it was the shortest of the ones I had in mind - I was hoping my sons would watch it with me. But they left after 15 minutes or so, and I watched the rest alone.

Hah, 1999 was a good year for movies, it turned out. I kicked it off yesterday with 6th Sense, and am looking forward to Being John Malkovich, The Green Mile, The Talented mr. Ripley, and a nostalgic 10 Things I hate about You.
