I finished the papers for the sake of my training program. My certificate seems to be on a slow boat from China but that's just a piece of paper. I did the work, I finished the program. Hooray!!!

We're going back and forth about the details of the fifth one now. The rest are all complete.

I like writing but the more schoolish the writing project is, the less interesting it becomes for me. If I'm just explaining things or reflecting on experiences in the way I would do it to communicate with a normal human being, I'm fine, and if you want me to toss in a bunch of jargon, okay. A little obfuscating razzle-dazzle has its place in a nonsensical, 21st century sort of a way. Nevertheless when it gets too much like a term paper with too many requirements of which I do not readily see the purpose, I lose interest in a hurry. This project is beginning to head into that sort of territory - not to the point that I'm ready to just dismiss it as a bunch of hoity-toity cow poo, but uncomfortably close. I'm used to the work I'm doing in this program being a matter of dealing with reality rather than bureaucratic red tape and administrative games of keep-away, and very distinctly so, which I like. This current project is less distinctly that way. I kind of get it and I kind of don't. I don't care for it, however. Formal education really burned me out. (less) (less)
