Finally got round to eating at Cockadoo in Nuneham Courtenay.
A bit disappointing really. Food was decent but not exceptional, but service was dire. Don't think we'll head back.

Then, this weekend, sampled the food at The Horse and Groom in Caulcott. Hearty meals, simply served. Bit of a downer to discover the steak and ale pie was steak and kidney- yick!! Worthy of a second chance though I think. Log fire and decent beers. (less) (less)

Tried The Big Bang in Oxford.
Decent food, but very very noisy and cramped. One to try again on a more chilled out occasion I think.
