We went to Greyhound races with some friends. We didn't win anything but it was a good night out. Also those dogs are fast and my photos were all like this one 😂

I noticed the sky was looking quite lovely so we quickly made our way to the beach to catch the sunset before it faded. I was quite beautiful.

Today we went to the Tropical Butterfly House. It was almost impossible to capture a good photo of the butterflies as they did not sit still!

I'm so lucky to live on the edge of the city. This was only a 5 minute drive out.

I have never been to a football game before, and to be honest, I've never wanted to watch a football game. Today however, was different. Girlguiding UK worked with UEFA to get discounted tickets to watch the women's Euros, which allowed us to take the Guides. Our meeting hall is just a half hour walk from Sheffield United's football stadium, which was hosting many of the games. There were no England games being played at this venue so we chose to watch Switzerland vs Netherlands. It would have been silly not to have gone with the Guides considering the stadium is right on our doorstep, and though some of the girls were less than enthusiastic at the prospect of watching sports for a couple of hours, they really got into it, cheering and chanting and jumping about when either team scored a goal! It was a good event and I think I would go again!

Another hot day, and we got a banana and custard flavoured ice cream from a local independent ice cream parlor.

Saw these lovely petunias growing in a display at the campsite we're staying at.

We took advantage of the nice weather again and took another walk in the countryside. I'm grateful for being able to live on the outskirts of the city, when the countryside is not too far away! (I haven't edited this photo, the sky was just crazy blue last night!)

I went to Mecca Bingo and played a few games. I'm certain I was the youngest person there! I didn't win anything either haha

We spent the evening with our friends, and here's a photo of their cat Lou. He's an old man now, 15years old, and was quite happy to just sit next to me snoozing.

Monday is Guides night and we took the girls down to the river to play. We do this every summer and we used to try and have an activity for them to do while they're down there but to be honest, they just want to play. They're city kids and being in nature isn't something they get to do too often so we just let them play.
This photo is just of the sun coming through the trees that I noticed.
19-06-22 Sunday
We decided to go for a walk this evening since the sun was shining. Ended up in the woods, so hardly saw the sun!

We made sock puppets at Guides tonight!
08-05-22 A lovely sunset from Bradfield. We had to stop to appreciate it, but my camera didn't pick up the colours so well. It was such a calm evening 😊

We had a lovely walk around the Botanical Gardens today.
26-12-21 We went for a little walk this afternoon even though the weather wasn't great.
2-12-21 Thursday
We were in the car on a dual carriageway so we weren't able to stop, but I saw the red arrows practicing their loop the loops! Unfortunately this was the best photo I could get but it was fun to see!
29-11-21
We couldn't get the car out today to get to work so I caught the tram. I'm not a fan of public transport right now (but at least they're making masks mandatory again from tomorrow) but needs must. My bus never showed due to snow disruptions so I had to walk down the hill to catch a tram instead, at least they run in all weathers! I'm glad I did because I had to cross this little River to get to work and look how magical it looks in the snow! The river had a sheet of ice over it - I've never seen a river freeze before!
27-11-12 Saturday
I guess I won't be taking anything up to the recycle centre today! Storm Arwen surprised us with a blanket of snow this morning!
1. We took the Girl Guides on a bit of a night walk around the neighborhood, and we came across this post box that someone had crocheted a "hat" for. It had a little soldier with poppies all around, in rememberance. Sorry for the quality of the photo, I only had my phone on me and it struggles in the dark!
1. Found this little one chilling on a leaf on the way back from the corner shop

I went to the supermarket today and it's anyone's guess these days why the shelves are bare. Is it because of Christmas/New Year? Brexit? Covid? Answers on a postcard please!
The toilet roll isle was full so I guess the panic buyers back in March are still working their way through it!
Jan 2nd - First snow of the year.
Day 2. Now I know this is just a photo of my TV but look at what's on it! We dug out our ZXSpectrum+ and cassette games out of the loft and had a bit of a retro gaming night tonight.
Day 1. Not the most exciting photo but marks the start of good things. I decided to start organising my threads to make it easy to access the colours without having to untangle things and putting off the projects that need to get done.
