I have decided to keep track using Goodreads.
I used to borrow so many books that the librarian would ask me questions to check if I had actually read the books. Now I live far from the library and just seem to buy and collect e-books. I also read much slower now. Plus, I'm experiencing problems with my vision. I don't like getting my eyes checked anymore. It used to be at an eye doctor (I have always had glasses for being nearsighted) but now one has to go to the stores that sell glasses - yep, the store that gives you a free eye check-up but makes their money selling glasses.

Anyway, I guess I should read the books I own. I read some last year, but that was last year. I will not put a timeline for this goal.

My friend gave me a tablet. Kindle and others like it are easier to use on a bigger screen than on a small phone. So I don't really have any excuses for not reading now....lol.
1. The Body by Bill Bryson
2. The People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
3. Paying Attention

I've been failing miserably at reading. My goal for the week is to get 25 pages past where I am now. I've also started rereading Stephen King's On Writing. I think I should wait until summer for that and just get through A Promised Land. At the end of the summer or in the fall when I go to the eye doctor, I'm going to keep the lenses I have, but ask for subscription reading glasses with two different strengths.

I did make the 25 page goal. My goal starting tonight is to read before bed like I used to. Maybe I can finish Obama by the end of the month.

4/25 Minimal progress. Here's one issue, a big one. When I go up to bed, I get on my phone instead of into my book. I want to do my things to do list, but then I go to Pinterest, which I do like, and twice I played chess. That's okay, but I have to make it reading at night. Plus it helps me fall asleep, while chess makes me wake up.

5/2 I read twice this week. I'm still in the habit of scrolling on my phone or playing chess before I go to sleep. It's gotta be reading! My goal this week is to read 50 more pages.

5/9 Nope. I picked it up a few times but got sleepy - not even 10 pages by my best estimate. I think I can get to it this week.

5/16 I read a couple of times, but I'm still not reading consistently. Maybe summer will usher in a change.

5/30 Some progress. Still plugging.

6/6 Minute progress. I think I'm done with political books for awhile.

6/20 This week I will finish ch. 22.
I still have tomorrow, but I don't think I'm going to come close to my mark. So I'm going to add 50 pages beyond this weeks goal by next Sunday evening.
3/28 I haven't touched A Promised Land.
Goal for the week: read 100 pages.
I did a chunk of reading. I'm at the halfway point of A Promised Land.
Admittedly, I'm going to get part way to this goal by: Giving away all the books I own that I don't actually want to read!
And I haven't touched it since last Sunday. Ugh!
Today I had a really good read. I have read about 235 pages of A Promised Land.
At the moment I need to read 41 unread books. So maybe I should stop getting more book?

Did very little reading this week. Didn't touch A Promised Land and read maybe a chapter of The Wind in the Willows.

Haven't touched Willows, but I could knock it off in an hour. Still plodding through A Promised Land. Both need to be done this week.
Finished The Body by Bill Bryson.

Read two chapter of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. This is in preparation for eating at Rat's at the Grounds for Sculpture. I hope to read a chapter a day. It shouldn't take very long. It's a children's book - 200 pages.

I also started A Promised Land by Barrack Obama.

Made progress on The Body. Hope to finish this week. Very doable.
Made progress on the body book. Hope to finish this upcoming week.
I have to give up playing games on my phone before bed so I have time to read. Also, I have a time slot 4:30-6, interspersed with prepping dinner, that I have not been utilizing.

Perchance these are all in Dutch, some I bought myself, but most of these 14 books have been from my parents -as you can see by the age of the spine of some of them.

And yes, these are just 14 of the ±75 books I listed below.
When I was younger, I used to be a major librophile, but I kinda lost the devotion lately. Still, I can't resist buying second hand books so I have a whole pile of books which I haven't read. I will change this.
