Find a personally inspirational quote and work it into a piece of art or home decor
I think when I created this goal, I was thinking of a physical work of art. But as a frugal minimalist, I don't decorate aside from plants BUT I realized today that I've worked many quotes into works of art. Case in pointđđŸđđŸđđŸ
I got some material and soon I will start it
Demi Lovato - "You'll have to eat me as I am"
Quote: "You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy" - Nightbirde
Think I will use 'It's my day to be brilliant' - Shinedown lyrics
Painted many rocks this year
'Your mind is a powerful thing. When you fill it with positive thoughts your life will start to change' poster
"You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and stars; you have a right to be here" Desideratus
I wanted to do something a little more involved, but I'm running out of time so this little piece I did with some Sharpie pens will have to do. Quote is from "Getting Sodas" by The World Is a Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid To Die.
Kia Kaha
âWho has but once dined his friends has tasted what it is to be Caesar.â - Melville, Moby Dick
Found the quote"i can live my life the way i want to"
I have dreamt in my life, dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas; they have gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the color of my mind.
Emily Brontë

My wall art to hang my running medal on :)

I totally forgot that I did find something with one of my inspirational quotes and I did buy the thing!

Favourite quotes:
âAnd why don't you write? Write! Writing is for you, you are for you; your body is yours, take it. I know why you haven't written. (And why I didn't write before the age of twenty-seven.) Because writing is at once too high, too great for you, it's reserved for the great-that is for "great men"; and it's "silly."
Besides, you've written a little, but in secret. And it wasn't good, because it was in secret, and because you punished yourself for writing, because you didn't go all the way, or because you wrote, irresistibly, as when we would masturbate in secret, not to go further, but to attenuate the tension a bit, just enough to take the edge off. And then as soon as we come, we go and make ourselves feel guilty-so as to be forgiven; or to forget, to bury it until the next time.â
â HĂ©lĂšne Cixous, The Laugh of the Medusa
âTo be noticed is to be loved.â
â Ali Smith, There But for The
âCause nobody's the slightest idea who we are, or who we were, not even we ourselves â except, that is, in the glimmer of a moment of fair business between strangers, or the nod of knowing and agreement between friends. Other than these, we go out anonymous into the insect air and all we are is the dust of colour, brief engineering of wings towards a glint of light on a blade of grass or a leaf in a summer dark.â
â Ali Smith
âShe had the swagger of a girl. She blushed like a boy. She had a girlâs toughness. She has a boyâs gentleness. She was as meaty as a girl. She was as graceful as a boy. She was as brave and handsome and rough as a girl. She was as pretty and delicate and dainty as a boy. She turned boys' heads like a girl. She turned girls' heads like a boy. She made love like a boy. She made love like a girl. She was so boyish it was girlish, so girlish it was boyish, she made me want to rove the world writing our names on every tree. I had simply never found someone so right. Sometimes this shocked me so much that I was unable to speak.â
â Ali Smith, Girl Meets Boy: The Myth of Iphis
âI'll tell you a secret.
Something they don't teach you in your temple.
The Gods envy us.
They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed.
You will never be lovelier than you are now.
We will never be here again.â

Itâs not about where you are now, or even where you hope to go, itâs who you are that matters. Donât let your place in the world dictate who you are to anyone. We all have the same merit. - Stephen Colbert

I'm so lazy, this is so simple :( but is a good quote from zine A Story of Lost Things #2 | http://ahistoryoflostthings.blogspot.com
1. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

2. Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous, love is never boastful or conceited; it is never rude or selfish; it does not take offense, and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other peopleâs sins but delights in the truth; it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes. Love does not come to an end.

Love the moment. Flowers grow out of dark moments. Therefore, each moment is vital. It affects the whole. Life is a succession of such moments and to live each, is to succeed.
If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.
I've looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It's life's illusions I recall
I really don't know life at all.
The purpose of life is a life of purpose.
Beauty is unbearable, drives us to despair, offering us for a minute the glimpse of an eternity that we should like to stretch out over the whole of time.
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched ... but are felt in the heart.
The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.
No person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow.
The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
Fear grows in darkness; if you think there's a bogeyman around, turn on the light.
All the world is a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and entrances;
Each man in his time plays many parts.
Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.
The only person who never makes mistakes is the person who never does anything.
Strong people make as many mistakes as weak people. Difference is that strong people admit their mistakes, laugh at them, learn from them. That is how they become strong.
The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself.
Truth is mighty and will prevail. There is nothing the matter with this, except that it ain't so.
In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was within me an invincible summer.

âLove comes to those who still hope even though they've been disappointed, to those who still believe even though they've been betrayed, to those who still love even though they've been hurt before.â

âWe do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.â
