Tamanrasset
Tamanrasset is an oasis city and capital of Tamanrasset Province in southern Algeria, in the Ahaggar Mountains. It is the chief city of the Algerian Tuareg. Tamanrasset was originally established as a military outpost to guard the trans-Saharan trade routes.
