Great North Run baby - 16th September!
I've registered for the Great North Run so I'll be running for Guide Dogs.
A tenant of mine is giving me his keyboard so I'm gonna dust that off and have a tinkle.
Done, although will probably always be in progress really. Have contacted some incredible people with incredible stories already!
We've downloaded ferry timetables and hostel guides and whatnot and plan to play HopScotch in September/October.
Sort of... I'm now writing for the Groupon blog for which I 'sort of' get paid...
On Saturday 4th February I got a reply from Prisoners Abroad providing me with details of a potential penpal in the USA. I posted my first letter off to him yesterday. Here's hoping he replies!

Sunderland Glass Centre do this but it's at least £100 a course so this one's on the back-burner for the time being.
Turns out that public speaking courses are expensive so I'm researching alternatives. Thus far I've signed up to train as a host for The U-Northumberland. Also, following a presentation at the OU in December they know I'm always willing to do more.
Not bad going, as of 2nd January I've tried 2 new recipes - Turkish Delight and Stollen.

After researching this a bit more I stumbled across a company which teams up penpals with British prisoners in foreign prisons and I figured that would be more suitable for me. Support my fellow Brits as it were. So I've filled in the application form and sent it off so we'll see how it goes from there!
