Cirque du Soleil counts I would say
Iceland - secret lagoon
Fagradalsfjall, Iceland
Boyle McCauley Dental clinic (SHINE Program)
14/20
Made some Gouda! Good stuff. Thanks Robert! Also got some butter and buttermilk out of the deal.
Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Lovely little trip! Got to enjoy some nice cevapi along the way too!
Reef HQ in Townsville. Lovely indoor self sufficient Reef
The Cyclone at Dreamworld! So good I had to go twice.
Got the Abbotsleigh Citrus crew together for a day of shooting at each other. That smarts!
Finally accomplished at beautiful Whitehaven beach in the Whitsunday islands.
Glasshouse mountains. Not the most exhausting walk, but a lovely couple of hours.
It just kind of happens when you get up at sunrise and finish work at sunset. Still beautiful though!
Capricorn Caves in Australia
Participant in the largest Secret Santa 2013
Just in time too. It's even valid for 10 years, so I won't have to worry about that for a while.
BSc in Statistics! 5 long years, but definitely worth it.
Not a model in the usual sense of plastic and glue, but I made a ceramic lighthouse (or at least that's what it was supposed to be). It ended up being more like a tower, but I still count that as a win!
Saw The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Good times. There were problems with the 3D, so we got a free voucher for another movie. I definitely didn't complain.

Target acquired
Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria. 4 stories, a spire, and 17 fireplaces. Not exactly what you think of when you hear castle, but it was neat nonetheless. For scale, my lovely assistant stands a mighty 7'6" tall. Give her a hand everyone!

Turns out that whales are pretty hard to catch on camera and get a good picture. This one was a fluke (HA HA puns).
Perseid 2013! Not a cloud in the sky. It was the perfect night to watch the shower. The shower itself wasn't particularly impressive, though there were a couple of impressive streaks.
Went out the evening of August 10th to watch the Perseid meteor shower. There was quite a bit of waiting for meteors, so it was a good time to test our Astronomy knowledge. It was an incredibly clear night - not a cloud in the sky. The Seven Sisters was the first thing that I saw as I went outside. Something that I had never seen was the plane of the Milky Way, which is surprisingly neat and obvious.I didn't have a camera that couldn't take exposure shots, so that was a bit of a drag. Oh well, so it goes.
This was the second leg of the Quesnel version of The Amazing Race. I didn't snag a picture unfortunately, though I managed to climb up the slanted wall on my second attempt.

Not sure how I could have salvaged this picture. A picture in a parking lot with a big screen in the background while posing awkwardly should suffice for now though.

It was a relatively short voyage, but a fun one. I'd like to get a few people together and park one of the vehicles somewhere, then drive up river and float down. Soon.

A picture of Jennifer and me with our faces painted, her as some sort of delightful fairy character and me as a meth addict. I mean Mike Tyson.

Our finished products. We just grabbed a bunch of miscellaneous containers from Dollaramma. The candles actually caved in a bit the next day, which we figure was because we didn't wait for the layers of paraffin to solidify enough. Live and learn. It was a good time, and would definitely make for a good gift for someone.
21/6/13 - 3/7/13, so almost double what I was going for. It was a lot easier than expected, because most of what I use it for is time wasting. I still haven't brought it back out yet, and there isn't much I would need it for.
A nice close up of the kite mid flight. It's actually surprisingly entertaining to fly, and passersby seem to enjoy it as well.

Boomerangs.com for the win. It took two boomerangs, one of which got lost, to do this.

2/3! Bead sprite of Walt from Breaking Bad made from ~15600 beads. It took 30 hours to finish, but the end result is well worth it.

Went to see Bridal Veil falls. While it's certainly not Niagara Falls it was a nice diversion.
Hopefully the two people behind me got a nice surprise. Six bucks well spent.
Fixed my bike tire and the chain problems I was having. Not exactly brain bustingly puzzling, but I'll take it.

Atop the needle. We decided on a whim to go at night, which turned out to be the best decision. No crowds for the win! As an aside, it was just windy, I'm not a slob.

Here we are on the Ferry ride over. Since there was no "Welcome to 'Merica. Enjoy your FREEDOM" sign this is going to have to do. Deal with it.

We seem to have a thing for imitating gorillas.

We're not so different after all.

Project number 1: An exact scale model of tape roses for Valentine's Day. I put the box of chocolate beside to keep them from being boring.
Flew home from YVR to Quesnel for Christmas break. Not nearly as exciting as I had hoped, but it still counts.
German I! Wunderbar!
In anticipation for the upcoming movie, as well as the prison play, I decided to read The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. It certainly wasn't a difficult read, and it managed to keep the story interesting for the entire duration. The 387 pages just flew by, and I would gladly read it again.

Our hero holding the night's program outside the entrance gate to William Head prison.
Jeremy, Andrea, Hassan, Kyle (Jeremy and Andrea's roommate), Jennifer and I went to William Head Penitentiary, a minimum security institution, to see a group of inmates and actors/actresses perform The Hobbit. The props, acting, and everything else that goes into a play were well done, especially considering that many actors were first timers, and I can safely say that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Hopefully we can go again some time if they're playing something interesting, and I highly recommend it. At no time did it feel unsafe, and most of the guards were jolly folk, willing to joke around with us while we waited for the cavity searches to finish up so we could proceed. Wait what?

Me thrilled to be at the corn maze. Also seen is my guardian angel, just above my head.

Not pictured: Jennifer, self respect.
Done and done. Not much navigating to be had at Galey farm, but it was a maze none the less. They were appealing to seemingly every demographic: there was the maze, then there was a sphinx/Egyptian 'artifacts', dinosaurs, and an old timey western saloon town, complete with Vampire wedding chapel. Not bad for an hour and a halfs work.
Jennifer and I went through the Galey Farm haunted house right after the corn maze. I had a good time, but Jennifer had a death grip on my arm the whole way through. And she thinks she's not strong. Overall it's what you would expect - lots of loud noise and jump out scares. 8/10 perfect haunted house.

Home made California rolls, and just in time for the season premiere of The Walking Dead. Aww yiss.

...They also rolled me away on a nice stretcher as to stop scaring the other donors. As if the cries of agony weren't enough. Luckily my trusty camerawoman Jennifer was there to capture it all.

Everything was going so well too. As soon as they removed the needle (which was by FAR the worst part) I got what can only be described as the mother of all head rushes. Juice and wet clothes for all. Also, in case anyone asks, this picture is not of my photogenic side.

Saw Buckethead at Club 9one9 with Jennifer and Simon on 17 September 2012. The opening act was Samples, who amazed the crowd with his fantastic DJing skill(z).
Resident Evil: Retribution. The quality of the picture was definitely noticeable, just not $19 noticeable. The movie was alright too - nothing special, but definitely not terrible. Good popcorn movie.

Jennifer was also present. That comment was compulsory.
