Photograph the Northern Lights
A few places where you can accomplish this: in Norway, in Finland, in Sweden, in Iceland, and
Auroras, also known as northern and southern (polar) lights or aurorae, are natural light displays in the sky, particularly in the polar regions, and usually observed at night. They typically occur in the ionosphere. They are also referred to as polar auroras. This is a misnomer however, because they are commonly visible between 65 to 72 degrees north and south latitudes, which place them a ring just within the Arctic and Antarctic circles.

Photograph a tornado
Photographing a tornado safely requires a telephoto lens and staying at least a mile away.
Photograph the milky way
A good starting point is to take 30-second exposures at ISO 1600, using an f-stop of F/2.8. Then stack multiple images together using photo editing software.
The Milky Way is the galaxy that includes the Solar System, with the name describing the galaxy's appearance from Earth: a hazy band of light seen in the night sky formed from stars that cannot be individually distinguished by the naked eye.

Complete a 365 day photo challenge
Take and share one photo each day for a year. The ultimate photo challenge. Great for when you are stuck in a photography rut or just looking to spark some inspiration and creativity.
Take a long exposure photo
Using a remote shutter release minimizes camera shake, ensuring sharper long exposure photographs.
Long-exposure, time-exposure, or slow-shutter photography involves using a long-duration shutter speed to sharply capture the stationary elements of images while blurring, smearing, or obscuring the moving elements. Long-exposure photography captures one element that conventional photography does not: an extended period of time.

Photograph lava
Lava's intense heat can damage camera sensors; use a telephoto lens and heat-resistant gear.
Lava is molten or partially molten rock (magma) that has been expelled from the interior of a terrestrial planet or a moon onto its surface. Lava may be erupted at a volcano or through a fracture in the crust, on land or underwater, usually at temperatures from 800 to 1,200 °C. The volcanic rock resulting from subsequent cooling is also often called lava.

Make a photobook
High-resolution images ensure print quality, so aim for at least 300 DPI for sharp photos.
Make a pinhole camera
A pinhole camera can be made from a simple cardboard box and aluminum foil for stunning photos.
Start a photo blog
Engaging photo blogs often see increased traffic by incorporating storytelling elements and consistent posting schedules.
Spend a night doing astrophotography
The best time for astrophotography is during a new moon, reducing light pollution for clearer shots.
Astrophotography, also known as astronomical imaging, is the photography or imaging of astronomical objects, celestial events, or areas of the night sky. The first photograph of an astronomical object was taken in 1840, but it was not until the late 19th century that advances in technology allowed for detailed stellar photography. Besides being able to record the details of extended objects such as the Moon, Sun, and planets, modern astrophotography has the ability to image objects outside of the visible spectrum of the human eye such as dim stars, nebulae, and galaxies. This is accomplished through long time exposure as both film and digital cameras can accumulate and sum photons over long periods of time or using specialized optical filters which limit the photons to a certain wavelength.

Buy a Polaroid camera
Polaroid cameras offer instant physical photos, perfect for capturing and sharing memories on the spot.
Make a vision board
Using a photography vision board can help clarify your creative goals and inspire new ideas.
Shoot a film camera
Always shoot a few extra frames to ensure you capture the perfect moment without retakes.
Buy a fisheye lens
Fisheye lenses capture ultra-wide angles, making them ideal for panoramic or creative photography.
Experiment with macro photography
Macro photography reveals hidden details, like the intricate patterns on a butterfly's wing or a snowflake.
Macro photography is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms like insects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life-size . By the original definition, a macro photograph is one in which the size of the subject on the negative or image sensor is life-size or greater. In some senses, however, it refers to a finished photograph of a subject that is greater than life-size.

Invest in a prime lens
A prime lens offers sharper images and better low-light performance compared to zoom lenses.
