I went to see one of my favorite stories as a child called Hansel and Gretel. It was a beautiful performance. The conductor was Noam Aviel. The first female conductor for the Straz Center for an Opera Performance. I loved to see parents bringing their children to a cultural event. It was very encouraging.
Saw one in Moscow, Russia, unfortunately don't remember what it was and when. The second one was called La Khovantchina ("Хованщина"), and I watched it in Paris, France, in 2013.
I am not an opera fan, to be honest, but that one was truly strong.
