2. Which is worse, failing or never trying?
Never trying since you won't know if you would have failed or not.
3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?
The fear of not having the money to do the things you want to do.
4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you've done?
I try not say I'm going to do something and not do it. When I set out to accomplish a goal no matter how small I strive to achieve it.
5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
The bitterness or indifference people have towards one another.
6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
Laying on a beach in the middle of nowhere.
7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
At the moment I'm settling for the job I have, but am taking steps to change that and do something I believe in and care about.
8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
I'm not sure that I would have lived it differently, just a bit faster.
9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?
I think I am in total control of the course my life has taken, it doesn't mean I have taken it in the best direction.
10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
Doing things right.
11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?
I have been in this situation before and I stick up for the person. It's fine if other people have strong opinions about them, but I tell them what I believe.
12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?
People say enjoy your childhood, but they don't reiterate how much you should REALLY enjoy it before you get out of college and have to live in the real world.
13. Would you break the law to save a loved one?
I would.
14. Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity?
Can't say that I have.
15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
I don't know that there is any one thing I do differently than most people, I have to believe that most of what I do, a subset of people out there do as well.
16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy?
Different people have different interests and things that make them happy. If the beach made everyone as happy as it makes me, then I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much.
17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?
Sky diving, the older I get the more I think about things like what if the parachute doesn't come out. If I had done it when I was younger, I don't feel like it would have been as big of a deal.
18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?
Not anymore.
19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?
California, I travel out there frequently and love the laid back mentality. I could see myself there someday.
20. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
I do, even though I know it won't get there any faster.
21. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?
Definitely a joyful simpleton, I would probably live longer.

I have.
24. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you?
Losing touch with a good friend who lives near you.
25. What are you most grateful for?
My ability to do things like travel, have a nice apartment and food on the table. Many people don't get to enjoy those things.
26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?
I would rather never be able to make new ones.
27. Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first?
I think sometimes we know institutionally something to be true and not ever have to challenge it.
28. Has your greatest fear ever come true?
Not one.
29. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now?
It never does.
30. What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?
I remember a group of girls in my neighborhood who would come over almost every day and we would ride bikes or play jump rope in my driveway. I felt so special that the older girls wanted to be my friend and made an effort when they didn't have to.
31. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
When I took a tour to Costa Rica by myself. I met the greatest people and was open to and experienced a lot of new adventures.

When the time is right.

The knowledge that you haven't achieved exactly what you set out to do. It may not be known to others, but it is known to yourself.

No

I think because people feel so passionately about their own religion that the concept of someone else not causes too many hateful feelings.

Yes

No, but I would find a new one and then quit!

I would rather have more work that I enjoy doing, because then it isn't work. Being bored is work - why do you think I'm filling this out!

Yes, everyday feels like groundhog's day.
40. When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in?
Last year when I bought applied for graduate school after years of debate.

4-5 very close friends and family.
42. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous?
I probably would.
43. What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
Being alive is just breathing and getting through the day, truly living is doing what you want, when you want and how you want.
44. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?
Right away.
45. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?
The fear of being judged for making the mistake and the disappointment in myself.
46. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
I wouldn't be so afraid to do things on my own, like go to a movie alone or eat in a restaurant alone.
47. When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?
Last night before I went to sleep.

I'm trying to love myself more and doing this challenge is part of that expression.

I actually will because of the recent events in my life and they all pretty much came together this week.
