Pot Roast (#28) I cooked on high for 3 hours instead of low for 6-8, and it was tougher than it should've been. Also, I probably should've trimmed more of the fat off of it before cooking. Not a bad recipe - smelled great, tasted good, just didn't hit the right consistency.
1. A Royal Affair - Danish
I'm actually able to whistle a lot better than I could before. Still takes some effort, but I'm getting better. Definitely should be able to complete this by the end!
I HAVE BUSINESS CARDS AT MY NEW JOB! HOORAY!
Managed to get a good bit thrown out! Hooray!
Well on the way to a wardrobe that is functional and fun.

Recovering from surgery now, and my wardrobe choices are fairly limited. As I gain more mobility (getting to drive will be one step in the right direction) - trips to donation centers/stores will become more frequent.
Argh. There's less than 365 days left in this goal list now (Oct. 9 2013), so I am amending the title of this goal to do a month-long photo challenge. There are plenty of lists out there, and I think I can stick to something for 30 days. I better.
In progress of throwing out/donating things that no longer fit/I don't wear (September 2013). Hoping to lose significant amounts of weight by next June - will require a wardrobe that I will wear, I like, and that fits.
October 1, 2013 (age 23) -- PCL reconstruction (2 hour surgery with a 6-7 mo. recovery)
Completed twice!

1. For Women Only - Shaunti Feldham (Aug. 2012)
2. Divergent - Veronica Roth (Aug. 2013)
Ran a 5K today with a friend! Woohoo! August 3, 2013 - time: 44 minutes
I decided that I don't actually want to scrapbook any more - I will probably try to sell my unused albums and supplies on KSL.

Aside from that, I've created a Shutterfly book for my 2012 trip to Swaziland. Soon I should have one from the 2010 trip to Ireland, then after that, we'll continue to work backwards with the 2008 to France, and 2006/2004 NYC. I don't have digital photos for Jamaica, so that one will be staying out of the scrapbook loop.

Total books to create:4
Total books created:1
Books left: 3
Things I know how to do:

Change headlight bulb
Check oil
change tail-light
based on BMI, my healthy BMI (24) sits at 158 lbs. I WILL weigh this before I turn 25.
2.
Psalm 140:7

Oh My Lord, the God of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.
I've lost (and kept off) 5 lbs. so far. I'm sitting at 190 right now, but looks like in the next couple days or in a week, I should be hovering closer to 185. I'm hoping to be down 20-30 lbs by the middle of September, so we shall see.

Based on my BMI - I'd be at a healthy number when weighing 158. So there's a lot of progress to be made, and I might have to get a membership to a 24 hour fitness or something to ensure that I get other forms of exercise besides walking in. Things like strength training and such will be good for me and aid in the weight loss process.
I think I've always known that my dad wants to go to Italy. When he talks about things, even in cycling - he's more interested in the Italian tours than he is in the big one (Tour de France). Really, I think my parents just need to get out of the US once to see something in the world. But with how much dad loves: 1) Italian Food, 2) Fast Cars, 3) how much he talks about it, it needs to be Italy.

Someday - I want to take my mom, dad, sister, and myself to Italy. If at that point C and I are both married, hopefully we'll be able to bring our spouses too.
Completed:

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
The Magician's Nephew
this goal may need to be put on hold. I don't really need business cards for my current job, and as I'm not sure what I want to be doing anymore, ordering business cards to promote myself as an event planner seems counter-productive...

Goal temporarily on hold until more things are figured out.
I'm taking this from my highest weight according to the bathroom scale: 195. So the goal is to be confidently residing at 175 or below by September 2014. I hope that I'll get there sooner and can make it to 150 or less in a year (depending on body composition). Just means I'm going to have to be very dedicated to eating well, being active, and tracking weight/photo progress.
In September 2013, I will be having surgery on my knee, and not able to do much until about March/April of 2014 - my goal will be to complete this goal in the spring/summer of 2014.

The Sausage/Wild Rice casserole turned out okay. I'm pretty sure that's what it's supposed to turn out like, but I just didn't enjoy the taste... It was salty, but also a little bit fatty (though I'd thoroughly drained the sausage), and lacked aromatic flavor. It wasn't inedible, and tasted okay. I'm willing to eat the rest of it as leftovers, so it wasn't terrible. But I don't know that I'd make it again.
I was asked to help plan the Vacation Bible School for my church this year! It's been so fun and my event planner side has been having a ball with all the details and little things to get done.
I started over with this one at the beginning of March. I'm on Day 7 and have been successful thus far. Here's to keeping it going! I may post some of my favorite photos later on.

Forgot that I can't donate for 12 months - totally thought it was 6 & tried to donate at the hospital today. Fail.
March 1, 2012 - returned from Africa. Now have to wait 12 months before donation is allowed. March 2013 it is!
Thanks to songs like Flo Rida's "Whistle" and Audrey Assad's "Ought to Be" my whistling practice has increased during car rides. I can do short 1-2 second bursts now, but can't sustain a melody yet.
