2014 done too now!
living rooms all changed around when my dad came home from hospital in sept, and he needed a bigger room.
done my Little Man's room, just Little Misses to go!
we went to Peppa Pig World
Went to Bournemouth for a few days with a friend - great fun!
mammouth game of monopoly! Little man and I came joint 2nd, with grandad the clear winner - total Mr Moneybags ;-)
made a bracelet and matching earring set for my friend's birthday
booked a one day introductory course on metal clay! very excited ;-)
I decided to answer the questions and post it on my very neglected blog! (http://mentalmumlw.blogspot.co.uk/2016/10/50-questions-that-will-free-your-mind.html)
I wrote a little story about a dummy fairy. It was a cute story, that I started when he was ready to get rid of his dummy at age 2ish. Finally finished it! I even had it looked over by a professional editor and I may get round to working on it with the view to publishing it someday!
I only ended up taking my Little Man, as I thought Little Miss wouldn't sit still for the whole film! We went to see the Good Dinosaur and Little Man loved it!
I'll be taking Little Miss when she's a little older
2013 done!
Unfortunately I wasn't well enough to help, but other grandad has decorated Little Man's room! Looks awesome!
Edinburgh was amazing! I want to go back there!!
Course was really good! Now feel confident that I could help if needed!
Little Man's other grandad is going to come round at the weekend and help me sort it!
We had photos of my kids and nephew done - little man smiled the whole time, my nephew was here there and everywhere and little miss was a big grump and wouldn't smile! Still got some cute pictures in the end!
Met a man named Paul today and his lovely little dog Rosie, sat on the bridge in Newbury. I gave him some money and spent a few minutes talking to him and petting Rosie. My last Random Act of Kindness for the list, but def won't be my last act of kindness ;-)
Ok, so it wasn't quite a 'night' but we had a lovely family games afternoon the other day. Little miss helped me and we tried to beat little man playing this dinosaur board game, but we failed miserably, heehee! Good fun for all
I'm planning a trip to Edinburgh - my first solo trip! Very excited, just need to book it now
The kids and I had fun making things with clay when we visited the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales, during the summer. Little man made a person, little miss a 'painted thingy-ma-bob' and I made a tiny little pot. Fun times!
I've managed to get onto the next first aid course running at the soup kitchen I volunteer at. Can't wait!
This one was actually really easy, as had a tummy bug, so couldn't eat properly for over a week! Not sure if that counts as cheating or not ;-) in my defense, I've not had any chocolate cravings for ages now, so hopefully chocolate will become an occasional treat from now on!
I now volunteer most Mondays at a drop in centre for the homeless called Loose Ends. We serve soup and cheese toasties, plus anything else that has been donated! I LOVE helping others, especially as if it weren't for my parents, I would be homeless too.
Yay! I know the alphabet now and am learning numbers and finger spellings, sooo exciting!
All preliminary thingies have been sent off. Feels very strange to be planning things for when I'm gone!
Ok, so not going to be stuck around my mirror - as I don't have one in my room. So have made a colourful poster instead to stick on my bedroom wall.
Very excited! I've just signed up to an online course to learn sign language (including the alphabet!) Wish me luck!
Boxes purchased, now to start filling them up!
Finally started to write a little book! More details to follow
Took the kids to Peppa Pig World in Paulton's Park - lots of fun!
Whilst star gazing at my friend Mel's house, as she had a smoke in her garden, we both got to wish upon a shooting star! Just hope mine comes true ;-)
I bought myself 2 gorgeous prints by the very talented Amy Brown (Amy Brown Fantasy Art Inc) they are gorgeous!!
Made fudge the other day - it was yummy! Going to make some for Christmas pressies this year!
I don't drink any pepsi or coke at all now! Feel loads better for it
At the Il Divo concert there was a poor man outside as we all filed out onto the streets, begging. I decided to go and talk to him and give him a bit of money towards getting a hot drink / something to eat. I found out his name was Edward and that he had been homeless for 15 years! I think I was the only person who actually took time to stop and talk to him. Most either ignored him, or just put a few coins in his hat. Wish I could have done more!
Went to see Il Divo and they were AMAZING!!!!
We had a good go at flying a kite on Greenham Common - didn't go quite to plan as the kite broke, but good fun all the same ;-)
It's part of a new fancy bird feeder station that I've put in the front garden

Made a simple Victoria sponge - tasted better than it looked ;-)

Me and Little Man ready to feed the ducks at our local lakes
Our awesome friend Jo (professional organizer / goddess of sorting and tidying) has been helping us sort the house - dining room is started now
2) I made home-made playdoh and me and Little Miss had an awesome time
Went with mum, auntie Charlotte and the kids to Marwell Zoo - to see the dinosaurs in the summer holidays! Saw other animals too tho ;-)
Went for a picnic in Dinton Pastures yesterday with family - good times!
Thanks to the amazing Flylady, I now have a schedule. What I need to do now is implement it ;-)
We went on a very windy day to the beach on our holiday to Wales during the summer holidays!
Pay it forward challenge completed (though I only got 3 people interested in the first place!) I have sent one friend a Baby Name book, to help her decide on a name for baby 3! My crafter-friend got an Amazon voucher, as i had no idea what she might need! My friend I worked at the pub with got a Boots voucher, as she's v v pretty and I thought she could treat herself
It has taken a few days hard work with me and Little man sorting things, but we have finally done it! Feel so proud of him giving his toys to his baby cousin or to charity
Miss Saigon was amazing - I cried loads!!
Off to see Il Divo in October - sooo excited
I've managed to cut down from 2l a day to 1 smallish glasse! Have replaced it with bottled water
I'm taking mum to see Miss Saigon in London at the end of August, with some friends, as her birthday pressie!

Brilliant fun!
One down, 2 to go until I reach my goal size ;-)
Managed to go every Sunday, excepting illness and Dad's birthday! Feeling very proud that I've finally managed to get my butt out of bed early enough to go!
I tried kickboxing on Thursday and it was AMAZING!! I am still in pain though, 2 days later, heehee! Am sooo looking forward to this helping me get fit and lose weight!

A couple of days really hard work over half term and mum and I finally completed Little Misses bedroom! She LOVES it!
2) Today we visited our local Dogs Trust and donated a load of old towels and sheets, instead of just sending them for recycling! It did take a bit of persuading mum to part with them, but feels great knowing that they are helping some animals, instead of spilling out our linen / towel cupboard!

Ok, so here we all are, ready with our notes inside the balloons (my mum gave it as a good suggestion to keep our wishes dry - genius!) we went outside and let them go, only for them to drop like lead balloons! We were going to wait for another day, but little man popped them all! So, on discussion with others, we decided that it would be more environmentally friendly in the long run to burn our wishes, instead of letting go of balloons that get caught up in rivers, that birds can choke on! (I had never thought of that before!) We placed out little pieces of paper onto our old bbq and after lighting about half a box of matches, our wishes finally lit and floated away in the smoke
I have bought some seeds, which are supposed to be easy-grow, so ideal for the kids. I've seen a really cute train planter at the market, I just need to buy it. Then all systems go for a planting session!
I've written the list, I just need to write them up and stick them to my mirror!
I started volunteering at my little man's school! I'm going to go in once a week for an hour to listen to kids read and an other general help required!
I totally forgot how much I love working with kids - can't believe it's 3 years since I left full time teaching!

It's red, I promise! I chose mahogany red, but it's really hard to show 'true' colour in piccies!
Note to self - you have done one for 2009, 2011 and 2012! (then you won't spend any more hours sorting photos for one you've already got! Heehee!)
Too easy! I found it hard to limit the number to 50 ;-)
I can't wait for my time to be up, so I can read it - I've already forgotten what I wrote ;-)

Popcorn, Disney DvD and snuggles with my Little Man - bliss!
It's been way over a week and I haven't even missed them! Soo glad I've kicked this habit!

Sent these to a poorly friend, just because I felt she needed them. Turned out she received them the day she was diagnosed with pneumonia! She loved them
I'm doing a 'pay it forward' challenge. Sending 5 people from my facebook or blog a gift before the end of 2014! They have to join the fun and do the same for 5 people too! I have 3 people so far
Right, got my list, now to get reading ;-)
Woohoo! If I ever win the lottery, or marry a millionaire, got my destinations sorted and pinned on Pinterest 'wishlist'
I really enjoyed this task! I wrote letters to my mum, dad, and friends Charlotte, Becky and Hazel
All of them were really touched, which was an added bonus!
I made a mini scarf for my little girl
It had knit and purl - feeling v proud!
1) We made a stained glass window, using tissue paper and sticky-back plastic.
2) We made works of art, using watercolour paint, glue and salt.

Woohoo! I managed to complete my first challenge!
This is one of the colours I had to choose from - my colours were limited! (I'm treating myself to one a month)
Right, on to the next one!
