After a long, stressful day - capped with working overtime and taking the bus home - walking in to this was beyond amazing and so so so much appreciated <3

I had dinner by candlelight with Amine after we had a fight. To make it up to him I made him dinner and we ate it by candlelight.

This was almost done as an afterthought...but it was the most amazing time! I had been thinking about my #52in52 all day and wondered what I could do quickly on the weekend...and I was just sitting down to dinner with a friend. I had a moment of "brilliance" and ran around the house like a crazy person gathering all of the candles, putting on some nice music and turning off all the lights. And then we sat down to eat...



and it was amazing!



Because it was out of the norm and off the cuff a bit, we had such a great conversation! I love that one of my own personal #52in52 "tasks" involved someone else AND deepened my relationship with that person in ways that couldn't have been planned.



I am excited about getting into the next one!

Well... actually, today I did this, but not on purpose. I was alone and the power went out for 8 hours. Tinned tuna with some extras. Not quite as romantic as I meant it to be! ;) Still on the list then...

11/1/2012 - Nessa came over for dinner and we had dinner by candlelight.

Completed on 29 December 2011, after the power was cut when I blew an element on the stove. Good times.

So, I've technically done this one. Dan helped me make dinner (ziti alfredo with chicken and a Greek salad), and when Akeyl came by, I lit a candle. Not like it was particularly dark anyway, or like it was particularly "dinner."

We had Donna's lemon chicken, potatoes, green beans and carrots. I wore all my rings at once to sparkle in the candlelight and the cat was very confused about what was going on. I've left him downstairs with his own late night chicken dinner as a treat for not begging while we ate ours.

On November 21, Steven and I ate by candlelight over the bay for our 10 year anniversary.

My boys cooked for me. :) Veal Mignon on a garlic parsley infused potato cloud with wilted baby spinach and asparagus. Yummy!
