Bouaké
Bouaké (or Bwake) is the second largest city in Côte d'Ivoire, with a population of 775,300. It is the chief town of Bouaké Department. Bouaké Department and Bouaké City lie in Vallée du Bandama Region. Manchester City F. C defender Kolo Touré and his brother and midfielder Yaya Touré were born in Bouake. Its economy is based on the cotton industry. It is a centre for Baoulé people and is known for crafts.
