Day 14.. A little sign in the house that always makes me smile
$60 Banked so far

Day 13... Groceries brought to my door... a time saver, a gasoline saver, and a money saver. Just love it!

December 7th ... I've been having loads of fun over the past few days mixing up loads of colorful and tasty smoothies with loads of fruit that may not actually be in season now, but are still wonderfully provided in the frozen section of my grocery store. There is never a reason not to fit fruits of all kinds into each and every day in one way or another.

Day 12... My other new Christmas ornament for this year.

Day 11... One of my new Christmas ornaments for this year.

Day 10... A wonderful Eggnog Muffin and Hot Chocolate

Day 9... Winter in the park

Day 8... Memories of Paris
-1.6 of a pound

Day 7... This morning I went and found a couple new ornaments for this Christmas. I'll be putting them on the tree in a bit, so I'm sure they will be in a coming picture. I love shopping for new Christmas ornaments!

Day 6... The love seat {a.k.a the dog's couch} has the much loved Christmas blanket on it.. with an added toy or two making it all the more a great, cozy place for a dog to curl up after playing in the snow.

November 30th... I blended up a whole pink grapefruit to make a wonderfully fresh glass of grapefruit juice.
December 1st... I whipped up a smoothie... make with pumpkin, banana, pumpkin pie spice, almond milk, and chai seeds. So wonderful... that I will be having it for my breakfast tomorrow morning... so December 2nd... I'll have another banana... for sure.

November 29th.. I mixed up an amazing smoothie with a frozen banana and the left over whole cranberry sauce... adding a splash of lemon juice, four sprinkles of ground ginger, some almond milk, and a Tablespoon of Chia Seeds. Wow... so good. I'll be buying more whole cranberry sauce just so I can make this smoothie again! Yum!

Day 5... This is what a tiny drip, drip, drip can look like after a few days of very cold weather.

Day 4 Breakfast

I played Christmas music all the way through the decorating fun. I could only go down so far with the ornaments because I'm worried that had I gone any lower my dog would be trying to eat them. Here's hoping that by the end of December the tree will still be standing.

Day 3 I put up the tree today

The final movie of the day. It has been great fun. A wonderful first day of the Christmas Season.

I've now switched over to the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel.... but I'm still continuing with the marathon. This is my fourth movie of the day.

The third movie of my Christmas Movie Marathon.

This is the second movie of my Christmas Movie Marathon.

So I decided it would be fun today, since Lifetime, is having a long Christmas movie marathon anyway... to take advantage of it. So this is the first movie of the day for me. This is just the perfect day for it I think, Thanksgiving is over... I'm free to start enjoying all the fun that is Christmas.

Book #7 I really enjoyed this story of strong women, who really never understand their own strength and level of courage.

Day 2 Brrrrrrrrrrrr Baby, it's cold outside!!!

November 27th... With all my laptop problems I've been unable to add pictures each day as I like, but I can honestly say that each day I have had my needed fruit. Today my main fruit will be in the form of whole cranberry sauce. November 28th... I enjoyed the second half of this can of cranberries.

Well, I have been having come serious laptop issues, and it completely messed up my run of keeping up with this goal. I thought about just doing a quick catch up from the past days where I wasn't able to get on, but that probably isn't how this goal should be reached. So, I'll just start again. At least I wasn't on day 222 or something. Right? So I'll call this Day 1.. and start fresh. This was my view from last night's Thanksgiving Dinner. The view was wonderful and the food was fantastic! As to my laptop issues. I got my one laptop fixed... Thank you, Richard!... and I also received a brand new laptop. So I should be doing just fine for a good long time to come.

November 18 An early morning apple

Day 14 Hanging light

Day 13. Wonderful, gingerbread cookies shaped and frosted to look like beautiful, autumn leaves.

3. I've now finished all my Halloween treats that my best friend gave me. Before having this as one of my goals I would have just tucked this into a cupboard thinking I'll most likely use it at some point. I plan on using the coming months though to get rid of things that are not "really" needed and just take up space in my life. So this smiling happy face also went into the trash bin. Good bye... I enjoyed you every single day that I had you. P.S. The candy was wonderful!

2. A few days ago a new phone book was left outside my door. I couldn't believe it! Already?? It seemed like just yesterday that one had been delivered. Then I went and pulled out the last phone book, still wrapped and unused in it plastic wrap. Sure enough a full year had pasted! It completely amazes me how quickly time can seem to fly by at times. So into the trash bin this goes... and the new one, which will most likely remain unopened as well, goes into the kitchen drawer. It does make me realize though the need to live each day intentionally. Time is such a gift... let's make the best of each moment we are given.

November 17... Today it was red grapes... yum!

Book #6 Reading this one as well, and working my way through it. I'll write more once these 30 days are over.

Book #5 Another book I've started today... I'll write more once I finish it.

Book #4... A very well done book, with many wonderful stories which were fantastic examples of how if handled properly, the things that show up in our life that look like barriers can actually become helpful stepping stones to exactly where we need to go.

Book #3 Quite the story of so many lives interrupted by war and cruelty, and trying to right the wrongs of the past. I finished the book today, and then I watched the movie. I'm glad I read the book first, the film softened up the edges of this story while the book seemed to hold up a true and unvarnished window to the past and the human hearts still trying to heal in the present so many years later.

November 16 This morning I enjoyed a fuji apple.

Day 12 A statue I like

Day 11 Making homemade pizza

November 15 Today I used a package of fresh organic raspberries and made an amazing drink with all the raspberries, some almond milk, a touch of maple syrup, a sprinkle of ginger, a dash of lemon juice and some ground flax seed meal. So good!

Day 10 Today I went to a Holiday Extravaganza and bought a beautiful pair of gloves from this display. {Note: my pretty gloves are not in this picture} I'm ready now~ Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

November 14 Another yummy pear for the start of this day

Day 9 My bird/squirrel feeder. I had just refilled it before quickly snapping this picture. At this time of year the pretty layered design of the food doesn't last long. This is a very popular spot. I have bird song all year long, even when the snow is piled about the house.

November 13 This day it was another wonderful honey crisp apple.

Day 8 Books ... Yes, I've read them all. If I buy a book I read it, then I buy another. I'm at the point now where I'm needing another bookcase. Books are one of my great loves.

November 12... This morning it was a banana that started everything off

1. This isn't how I expected to begin marking off this goal. I had intended to use this to make myself finish all of my nearly empty/but not quite bottles of shampoo etc around the house, before buying more, and tossing out things that I no longer use and are just taking up space. This is the first thing though that I've gotten rid of. This stuffed puppy has been on my bed since I bought it while living in Harrogate, England. My dog fell in love with it though awhile back, and today his love got the better of the little guy. He started pulling out the stuffing! Into the trash bin he went. It is a good thing that other dog toys arrived in the mail today to get his mind off the loss of this little guy, or I doubt my trash bin would have been safe for long, since he was really missing this stuffed pup. So sad to see some things go.

Day 7 So, are you ready to laugh at me? Confession: I'm crazy about web cams. Every day I like to set one of my lap tops up to view one web cam somewhere in the world. Then I just leave it going. This way it allows me to watch the sun rise and set in another place. It is my small window on the world. Sometimes I set it on a place I dream of going, other times I choose a place I love and miss, and other times I completely step out of the box and choose one in a place I've never really even thought of before. Today I had it set on this camera. This is the Aberdeen Beach cam in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is a place I have been and love very much. In fact Aberdeen was the first part of Scotland I ever saw, stood, and breathed since it was Aberdeen airport were I landed when I moved to Scotland. I lived in Scotland for a few years, I have been back since, and I dream of returning again one day. For now though... I enjoy the web cams which make me feel like the whole world is within easy reach.

November 11 This morning began with a pear. I actually am trying to eat three pieces/ or servings of fruit a day since I've read that is actually what we should all be shooting for. This goal though helps keep me focused and on track since when you start a day out right you tend to keep on track, or at least for me it always seems that way.

And so I begin.... My scrapbook will be a bit different than what is expected I would imagine. I'm going to actually be creating a lifestyle journal. Which is just a fancy way of saying it is going be a very beautiful diary of sorts. I will add to it daily. Keeping track of the days and making myself accountable to the way want to live my life.
1. Walking on the beach
2. Drinking hot chocolate by a crackling fire
3. Having a favorite s (...more)

Day 6 Almost time for my morning workout

November 10 This morning began with a Fuji Apple

1. I decided to watch this film today in honor of Hedy Lamarr's 101 birthday.

Day 5 Preparing my lunchtime salad

November 9th This morning I started the day with a banana

November 8... I had my favorite apple... a HoneyCrisp they truly are the best in the world.

Day 4 A Rainy Autumn Day

4. The final film of the day. It has been a fun, and relaxing day.

3. The third film of the day.

2. The second movie in my rainy/grey day marathon.

1. The rain is falling outside, so I decided this would be the perfect day to reach this goal, since before long there will be no rain days, just snow days. This is my first film I've selected to watch.

New Tea #1 I enjoyed my first tea pot of it this evening. I added nothing to it and found it a nice way to end the day.

Day 3 Made a stop to get some winter sweaters for my dog. The mornings are just too cold to go walking now without some cozy outdoor gear on.

Autumn Book #1. The idea of seasonal reading as a fun yearly goal just came to me this afternoon. Since we are already a ways into autumn I figure I had better start in reading, or I won't get my three autumn books read before winter begins. I ordered this as a Kindle Edition, so I'll begin this tonight once I'm tucked in snug and warm under the covers. The best part about the kindle for me is the ability to read in the dark. I wonder if I will be up all night reading like the cover says.

Day 2 Brrrr, today was a day when the heater seemed to be coming on far more often than in the past few weeks. Winter is but days away. It was, without doubt, a day of hot tea and curling up with a good book whenever possible.

Book #2 A wonderful story of lives interwoven through time and the powerful bond of sisters. I really enjoyed this one, a great curl up and enjoy in the evening sort of tale.

I have placed the note in the book, and walked away leaving it to be found on a library shelf. It is fun imagining the smiling surprise on the stranger's face when they come across it. It is the little, happy surprises that make a day special.

It is an odd feeling writing a letter to my future self. Ten years seems like such a very long time from now, and yet I know in many ways it will seem to rush by like the leaves on the wind outside my windows. After I finish I will seal it up, and place it in the fireproof box beneath my bed waiting for November 6, 2025.

Day 1

Book #1 This was a fun book with one twist after another, with the reader {at least I found myself} wondering a number of times if our lead character would make the "right" decision.
