I'll mark this as done now. I work steadily with translations, there is no real reason to think I will get less books to translate in the foreseeable future, and I make more money than I have done in previous jobs.

Resigned from my newest job as well, as one of the biggest publishing houses in the country have said they will give me as many books to translate as I can manage!
I am a full time translator now!

I had an offer of a new part time position with 10% higher wages than the one I had, and then I spectacularly resigned from my old job, telling the boss what an incompetent leader he is. I actually got thrown out of the office (and got an extra month paid leave because he is not allowed to not pay during my 4 weeks notice). (less)

I am going to get paid for translating books! This is fantastic news, as it gives me flexibility and a chance to work with something I love. And get paid! With real money!
